Yeehaa! I'm back to a normal life with internet :) Well, to be honest I quite enjoyed myself the last few days... I didn't miss checking my e-mails or stuff; it's just so wonderful to be here.
The flight was...um, long. Very long. But of course I was lucky and the Canadian Hockey Team was on my plane. It was really interesting to listen to the conversations, and -boy!- you would never believe just how much luggage they had! Tons! Or even more! Quite a show at the check in. Oh ya, the check in. That was funny too. The guy actually had a lot of problems with my passport and first he wasn't sure if I could pass (wtf? Please don't tell me that I can't go on that plane, please!), but then, while trying to punch in the correct numbers or whatever, he started flirting with me wildly, which was kind of awkward having a line up in my back. Eventually he got things straightened out and he was so nice to explain exactly where I had to go (what? Do I look like a complete idiot? I didn't even act lost, I so knew what I had to do, honestly.) The rest was pretty unspectacular; there was this really cute, nice guy right next to me. We had a really good conversation in the start (for he is interested in Judaism as well) and in the end we were cuddling up for the movies. Very pleasant. Did I mention that he is 10? ;)
Of course I was pretty much brain dead when I arrived to Vancouver Airport; I never can sleep in those seats and then I mostly get motion sick (but I did not puke this time, which is great!). When I finally met my parents I was all confused by tiredness. I kept on mixing words and languages or saying things I never meant to say, so conversation with me was kind of funny for everybody else (yes, I'm glad I made you lough). We actually had enough time before the ferry that we went to eat Greek, it was quite good, but I was too tired. Ah, and I remember the waiter had this really strong french accent and the first few times I couldn't understand dick all.
When we were finally home I hadn't slept in over 26 hours which just doesn't work out for my system. I crashed.
But of course I was wide awake 4 hours later, humming with energy. So went to look at the garden, which now is so absolutely beautiful! It's all stone and wood and stuff and just wonderful, splendid, gorgeous, brilliant... yeah, I guess one gets the idea ;)
And since then... well, I'm just enjoying life (I'm still fighting jet lag, but it gets better every night). My days begin with a grand breakfast (bacon and eggs, fresh fruit such as strawberries, peaches, blueberries, bananas, red river with moist brown sugar, chocolate milk (I'm so delighted by this!), cereal... of course not everything every day, but I can choose what ever I feel like). Then I do the dishes and go for a swim in the cool ocean (sorry, whom am I kidding here? It's not cool, it's friggin' cold!). After taking a hot shower I read or sometimes sleep again. The rest of the day then variates: Craft fare (where I found the most perfect calendar for the rest of my life), walking on the beach, shopping for groceries and similar stuff. In the evenings I cook with my Mom (lasagna yesterday, yummie stuff!) and then we watch a movie or I read. I think I have a serious book problem coming up: I tool a few books, every single one with over 750 pages, and I'm down to the last one. Bummer. Seems like I'm going shopping soon :)
It's really weird being alone with my parents, usually always one of my sisters was around. I actually think it's the first time in my life that I spend more than one afternoon alone with both of them.
But of course I have to live it out to an extend, because in two days everybody else will be arriving, and then the peace and quiet will be gone.
Okydoky, I'm up to take a shower (I waited for the weather to become a little sunnier before going for a swim, but there's no time left, so I guess I just have to skip the ocean today!), and then we'll go over to our neighbours (really cute: One lady met me one day in the morning; she came rushing to me, embraced me and huffed: "Welcome Home, sweetie!") for some drinks (at four o'clock in the afternoon for some reason).
